I have wanted to do a collaboration with Nick of DudeFoods.com for a while now, we met a few years back at one of my HashtagMKE events. It became clear very quickly that Nick knows a lot about food (and content creation)! We were recently chatting about how I wanted to update a few of my lists on TikTok and landed on putting together a list of places for wings in Milwaukee.
What exactly is a mocktail? It’s a casual way to refer to a non-alcoholic cocktail. It’s also an inclusive way to offer a beverage option to those that are not drinking. Back in May during Milwaukee’s first-ever Asian Restaurant Week (May 16-22, 2021) put together by ElevAsian, I expressed on a TikTok that I didn’t realize Indian cuisine was considered Asian food. I know, I know, cringe. I get it! Asia is a HUGE continent with so much culture spanning across many countries and regions. But up until that video, when I thought of where to go for Asian food, my tendency was to think of Chinese, Korean, or Japanese restaurants first.
I recently connected with Scott Small, one of the founders of Dives of Wisconsin (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook), and collaborated on a TikTok to feature 5 dive bars in Milwaukee. TikToks are intended to be short and sweet, so there isn’t much room to expand (while maintaining interest) so I invited Scott to also help me create a more complete list of dive bars. The first 5 are my picks and the last 5 are his.
